Privacy notice

Your details, kept simple

This notice explains what Sugar Hex Home Bakery does with the personal information you give us, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR).

Who we are

Sugar Hex Home Bakery is responsible for your information. You can contact us about anything in this notice at hello@sugarhex.co.uk.

What we collect

When you email or message us, we receive your name, contact details and whatever you include in your message, such as what you'd like to order and when.

Please don't send us more than we need. If you tell us about an allergy, we use it only to advise you and to bake your order safely.

Why we use it

We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, arrange and bake your order, and arrange collection. Our lawful basis is that you've asked us to take steps before entering into a contract with you, and our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us.

We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for marketing unless you've separately signed up for our newsletter.

Who sees it

Only us, plus the email and hosting providers that deliver and store our messages on our behalf.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries only as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any order that follows, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. After that we delete them.

Cookies

We don't use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. Our order form sets one essential cookie that protects it from forged submissions. It contains no personal information and is removed when you close your browser. Our fonts and images are served from our own website, so no third party sees your visit.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, or object to how we use it. Just contact us using the details above. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
